Description
Cobalt RZ F1 is a new cucurbit rootstock. It is an interspecific cross: C. maxima X C. moschata. It has medium to high vigour but gives a very well balanced grafted plant. It is designed for use with melons, watermelons and cucumbers. It is recommended for grafting with overly vigorous scions or in situations where excessive vigour is detrimental, such as with triploid (seedless) watermelons. The good plant balance makes the grafted combination earlier into production than is the case with other C. maxima X C. moschata rootstocks. Cobalt RZ gives good fruit quality and taste when used with melons and watermelons.
