Description
Ferro RZ F1 is a cucurbit rootstock designed for use with watermelons and cucumbers. It is an interspecific cross: C. maxima X C. moschata. It has very high vigour and is well known for use in colder conditions. The strong vigour and the high resistance to soil borne diseases, together with a solid root system, ensure well balanced growth under the toughest of conditions. Combined with the right scion Ferro RZ gives a very high production with uniform fruits. Because of the strong vigour Ferro RZ is particularly well suited in combination with the less vigorous diploid (seeded) watermelon types.
